1 dies in beach accident in Florida

This case in Florida discusses the death of a pedestrian who was allegedly struck by a driver who was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the wreck. The news reports that the 45-year-old victim was struck on a beach; she was walking with her 21-year-old son and his wife when she was hit by a car at around 9:30 p.m.

The victim's husband had to drive from North Carolina to Florida after the accident. His wife had been a grandmother of four and a mother to seven; he reported that his son, the 21-year-old who was with his mother at the time of the accident, is not doing well having lost his mother so suddenly.

The car was believed to have been driven by a man who sped down a street, went over a beach access ramp, crashed through a tollbooth and then hit the woman. The man has been arrested and charged with DUI manslaughter and DUI property damage, but he has been released on only 10 percent of a $12,000 bond.

Surprisingly, the husband of the victim has claimed he isn't mad at the drunk driver. He claimed that the man will have to live through what he has done just like his family will.

The wrongful death of a loved one is something you hopefully may never have to face in your life. However, those who have lost loved ones because others were at-fault have a right to sue for compensation. You can speak with a legal representative about your right to compensation for such a terrible loss.
