Experienced Representation

Our attorneys handle the most serious, high-stakes litigation, including cases involving neurosurgery and other major operations that led to nerve damage, brain and spinal cord failure, major organ failure; we also handle cases involving misdiagnosis.

Many medical malpractice law firms employ in-house medical professionals to help assess cases and act as expert witnesses. We don't believe in that; we believe in getting an impartial, unbiased opinion from the top medical experts in the United States. Our lawyers travel to Johns Hopkins and Harvard Medical Schools to consult with department heads. It might cost more to do this, but we believe it has helped us compile an amazing string of successful verdicts and settlements.

Past Successes

The Hernandez family came to the firm when their 22-year-old son was rendered brain dead during a routine operation for a broken leg. We won a $7.2 million judgment against Mercy Hospital and a hospital-based anesthesiologist for medical negligence. We were able to conclusively establish the hospital and anesthesiologist's liability in failing to appropriately monitor the patient during surgery. At the time, it was the largest verdict for medical malpractice in Florida history.

In another case, a $5.7 million judgment was awarded to a 37-year-old truck driver for doctors' failure to timely and appropriately diagnose kidney disease. The jury determined that due to the failure of three urologists and/or their professional associations to properly examine the plaintiff, they missed the open and obvious signs of treatable kidney disease. The firm was able to establish that the doctors clearly should have known or seen the kidney disease and referred the patient for appropriate treatment. Because of their negligence, the plaintiff lost use of both kidneys and needed a kidney transplant in order to survive.
